weekly update: It is 2022, on these interpandemic days, there are more in-person events surfacing as the loosening of the mask mandates slowly takes place here, in the States. I am going to more social in-person events to network to break into tech, with my first role. I am socializing at a tech start-up meet-up event tonight in Manhattan as a software engineer graduate— I am engulfed with learning about the tech industry, to why technologists like myself would want to work at specifics companies and industries in tech. Most importantly, I had my mask on during the event. I met developers and managers from an array of intersections with tech such as finance, video streaming, and advertising to job seekers like myself, to name a few. It was hosted at a rooftop cocktail lounge — so nice to witness Lower Manhattan since the inception of this recent pandemic. On the 18th floor, I was greeted with ID checks. I proceeded to introduce myself to the host of the evening and was instructed to grab a marker and name tag to position myself to meet folks. This is an exciting time to meet with other professionals in tech in New York City. This is just the beginning…

While learning and practicing algorithms, my ‘aha’ moment is seeing this w3schools.com breakdown of JavaScript Loops (below). I wanted to know inside any JavaScript Loop, what is let i = 0. Which is the first index element in the array. This is a much-needed refresher while balancing things in a day and week while coding and networking and job hunting.

Thanks for reading. Happy Coding.
